FCI – Certification with Integrity

APC, Inc. is very proud to have our manufacturing plants certified the Feed Certification Institute (FCI). The strict guidelines and certification process, limits the number of manufacturing plants that can uphold such high standards. Obtaining an FCI certification means that a facility has implemented written quality control checkpoints and good manufacturing practices within applicable industry standards and FDA regulations and guidelines. Over the past year, APC has worked to comply with these guidelines in all of our production facilities, which has led to each of our 7 United States facilities receiving a Plasma and Hemoglobin Certification from FCI.

FCI is a non-profit, third-party corporation developed to monitor and certify manufacturing facilities that comply with strict collecting, handling, processing and storing guidelines defined in the 21 CFR, set to reduce the possibility of cross-contamination of ruminant feed products with protein derived from mammalian tissues.

For further information on FCI or to check to see if your feed manufacturer or ingredient supplier is certified, the FCI website is: www.certifiedfeed.org
